Two Day Course on Securing Microsoft Windows and Active Directory Debuts June 15-16
Lenexa, KS – April 12, 2004 – Security PS, the Midwest's leading independent provider of information and network security consulting services announces a new course addressing Windows security issues. The security training, developed for IT security personnel, auditors and system administrators will take place June 15-16 at the Security PS training facility at 8527 Bluejacket in Lenexa, KS.
The training will explore the vulnerabilities and configuration problems of a standard Windows installation. Attendees will discover how hackers can profile, extract information from, and attack computers running Windows. They will learn how to close security gaps using techniques discussed and demonstrated during the training.
Course tuition is $945.00 per person for registrations received by June 1, 2004. After June 1, the registration fee is $995.00 per person. The fee includes a continental breakfast and a catered lunch each day. Attendees can earn sixteen (16) CISSP Type A Credits.

Course instructor Bruce Marshall, CISSP, MCSE has over ten years of experience in Windows security. He has implemented and assessed secure Windows environments for Conoco-Phillips, Radio Shack and Schering-Plough. Microsoft contracted with him to develop content for the new Windows Server 2003 MCSE exams.
The course focuses on the Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003 products, but will also offer advice on the security of legacy systems like Windows NT 4 and Windows 9x.
