Security PS Sets Strong Direction for 2009

Overland Park, KS – April 3, 2009

While the economy has created challenges for many businesses, the first Quarter of 2009 was marked with bold moves of growth and vision at Security PS. At each level, the company has been busy planning, building, and executing toward strong goals for 2009.

Commenting on the fuel behind this effort, CEO Kris Drent said "Security PS has a stellar track record for delivering exceptional value in security consulting engagements and training. We want to continue to grow and challenge ourselves to continue raising the bar...and that takes focus and a clear vision that we all believe in."

Drent's belief in this vision lead him to complete a buyout of the company in order to bring that vision into reality. Discussions regarding a buyout between company owners Drent and Steve A. Rodgers had started in 2008 as options for future growth plans for the company were being weighed.

"This was certainly no light decision, so we really took our time to find a win-win scenario for everyone -- one that ultimately enables Security PS to take on the next level with a clear direction for the future," continued Drent.

Rodgers has taken this opportunity to pursue new business ventures while Drent continues to pursue his passion in information security with the team at Security PS.

"I look forward to seeing more great things from Security PS. They have strong leadership in place, an accomplished consulting team, and a tremendous amount of passion for what they're doing, " commented Rodgers regarding the company's strength and direction after the transition.

The current groundwork for building the future has created a flurry of progress toward initiatives within the company and the Security PS team believes results will soon be visible to clients as well. Having recently added a new Manager of Business Development as well as additional application security consultants and support staff to the Security PS team, one key objective of growing the Kansas City office is well underway. The new capacity is affording leadership the ability to take on new initiatives such as expanding the Security PS offices outside of the Midwest region this year. All the while, the consulting teams are continuing the ongoing work of raising the bar for the security methodology and practices used for delivering value to clients.

Drent concluded by saying "We are definitely excited about what we've already achieved this year and what this team is set to accomplish throughout the remainder of 2009."
